Professional Blasting & Surface Preparation

Advanced Abrasive Blasting in West Yorkshire

With over 25 years of experience, Blast & Paint has evolved into one of the most versatile blasting specialists in the region. We don’t just ‘clean’ surfaces; we prepare them. Whether you are stripping a classic car chassis, restoring heritage timber, or prepping industrial steel, we select the specific media required to achieve the perfect profile without damaging the substrate.

Heavy Duty

Expendable & Reusable

Media: Steel Grit, Chilled Iron, Aluminium Oxide, Aluminium Silicate.

Best For: Heavy rust removal, thick industrial coatings, and ferrous metals (iron/steel).

The Result: A deep “key” for new paint or powder coating to bond to.

Precision & Finishing

Glass & Beads

Media: Glass Cullet, Glass Bead, Sinter Ball.

Best For: Alloy wheels, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals where a smoother, polished finish is required.

The Result: Cleaning without surface profiling, leaving a satin or bright finish.

Delicate & Specialist

Natural & Soft

Media: Bicarbonate of Soda, Walnut Shell, Corn Cob.

Best For: Timber beams, delicate masonry, and automotive engine components.

The Result: Gentle removal of grime or paint while keeping the original surface entirely intact.

Dry Ice Blasting

Non-Abrasive. Non-Toxic. Zero Residue.

For environments where grit contamination is a concern—such as food processing equipment or complex engine bays—we offer Dry Ice Blasting. This technique uses solid CO2 pellets that sublimate on impact, lifting dirt and grease without leaving any secondary waste behind.

Why a Controlled Workshop Environment Matters

Unlike mobile blasting services that are at the mercy of the British weather, our 50ft dedicated blast shop is fully enclosed and climate-controlled. This prevents flash-rusting on bare metal and ensures a consistent, high-quality finish 365 days a year. Our facility features full dust extraction and advanced breathing apparatus to meet the highest safety standards.

Technical Capacity Checklist

  • Maximum Item Height: 2.2 Metres.
